LONDON Irish's Shontayne Hape has been banned for four weeks for a dangerous tackle on Edinburgh's David Denton.
Hape, 30, was cited for the tackle in the game at the Madejski last weekend and his case was heard by the European Club Rugby board today (Thursday).
The Exiles centre will now miss the Heineken Cup trip to Cardiff Blues on Friday evening as well as the Premiership matches with London Wasps and Saracens.
Hape is the second London Irish player to banned recently, with England team-mate Delon Armitage still serving his five-week suspension.
