LONDON Irish have bolstered their pack with the signing of Canadian back row forward Jebb Sinclair on a one-year deal.
Sinclair was one of the standout players in the Churchill Cup and his 6"4', 16 and a half stone frame will bring a huge physical presence to the Irish squad.
The 25-year-old started at blindside flanker in all three of Canada's Churchill Cup matches and impressed against England Saxons in the final.
He will meet up with the Irish squad following the completion of the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand and is excited about his debut season.
"Moving to London Irish offers me the opportunity to test myself against the best players in the Northern Hemisphere and a chance to show these players what I'm capable of," he said.
"I'm looking forward to joining up with the squad after the World Cup and pulling on the London Irish jersey for the first time."
Sinclair joins from Canadian side, Atlantic Rock, and Irish coach Toby Booth believes he will strengthen the squad.
"I saw a lot of Jebb during the recent Churchill Cup and I was impressed," he commented.
"His work rate around the park was of a high standard and allowed others around him to shine, that is what you need from a forward in the Premiership. He offers another lineout option and is a strong ball carrier which will further strengthen us for this season."
