Irish handed Friday away trips

LONDON Irish RFC have been handed two Friday night trips up north in the 2009/10 Guinness Premiership season.

The fixtures for the upcoming campaign were confirmed by Premier Rugby today, leaving the Exiles with weekday trips to Sale Sharks and Newcastle Falcons.

Toby Booth's side will travel to Edgeley Park to face Sale on Friday, October 2.

And then last season's Premiership finalists will make the long trip up to Newcastle on Friday, February 19 next year.

Elsewhere it was also confirmed that Irish's trips to Leeds Carnegie (September 20) and London Wasps (April 4) have both been moved to a Sunday.

All other away trips for the Exiles next season will take place on Saturday afternoons.
