NINE pars and two birdies helped Michael Lamb claim top spot in Division One of the Weekend Stableford at Caversham Heath on Sunday.

Lamb (10hcp) scored 40 points to beat runner-up James Walker by three. Third was Matt Gibson (8hcp) with 35 points.

Division Two was a very tight affair with two points covering the top eight, with count-back needed to separate six players for third place.

The winner was John Endersby (17hcp) with 38 points, while runner-up was Luis Mesquita (15hcp) with 37.

Adam Paul Baker (16hcp) got the nod for third place, ahead of Paul Lobban (14hcp), Nigel Barden (15hcp), Kevin Iley (15hcp), Stuart Webb (11hcp) and Matthew Evans (12hcp), all with 36 points.

Toby Joyce (23hcp) scored 22 points on his back nine to win Division Three with 39 points.

Runner-up was Jim McGiveron (21hcp) with 35 points and third was Caroline Dover (24hcp), with 34.

Twos were recorded by Gibson (8th hole) and by Baker (13th hole).

  • CALLUM Peart (5hcp) won Division One of the Midweek Stableford with 37 points.

Runner-up was Jonathan Fleming (3hcp) with 36 points and third was Stephen Halford with 33.

Division Two winner was Niall Wood (19hcp) with 34 points, ahead of Simon Dicketts (24hcp) with 32 and Caroline Diver (22hcp) with 31 points.

Twos were recorded by Halford and Stuart Walker (both on the 13th hole) and by Toni Sale (17th hole).
