KIN LAW and Parmod Sharma took the honours in the Lord Hirst Trophy at Sonning Golf Club.
The pair earned a five-shot victory with rounds of 60 and 63 for a total of 123, knocking Keith Medhurst and Michael Hardyman (61 and 67 for 128) into second.
With 24 pairs taking part, Kelvin and Colin Hodges came third with rounds of 61 and 68 for a total of 129.
Ros Gurney and Julie Wicks triumphed in the Sarnia Trophy, amassing an impressive 41 stableford points to beat Carole Butler and Hazel Winstone on countback.
Sarah Davidson and Liz Edwards were a point behind in third.
Sonning veterans lost 4-2 at Newbury and Crookham, despite victories for Alan Tubb and Steve Cook (3&2), and Nick Flaeger and Keith Conway (4&3).
