JONATHON Fleming has won his second consecutive Division 1 Medal at Caversham Heath Golf Club.

Fleming (4hcp), who won the April medal, triumphed again last Saturday in the May Medal with nett 70.

Runner-up was Richard Craven (1hcp) with nett 72 and third was James Walker (10hcp) on countback from Joseph Sicheri (9hcp), both with nett 73.

Fleming recorded three birdies, as did second-placed Craven, while Walker bogeyed the last.

Division 2 winner was Matthew Evans (11hcp) with nett 69.

Second was Stephen Chambers (17hcp) with nett 70 and third was Mark Farrington (11hcp) with nett 71.

Two bogeys on his last two holes proved costly for Farrington who also had a quadruple bogey 8 on the par 4 ninth hole.

He went out in 45 and came back in one over par 37 which also included an eagle on the par 5 15th hole.

Rachel Downey (17hcp) topped the leaderboard in Division 3 with nett 69.
Runner-up was Jane Weller (23hcp) with nett 71 and third was Lynne Rumbold (18hcp) with nett 72.

All three ended their rounds with a bogey, but a double and a quadruple bogey on the 16th and 17th holes was costly for Weller.

Twos were recorded by Michael Beaumont, Stephen Casey, Matt Gibson, Gareth Goodall and Joseph Sicheri (all on the 8th hole), Anne Smith (13th hole), and by Matthew Evans, Michael Hamilton and Chris Stacey (17th hole).

Joyce Collins (26hccp) took the honours in the J&P Ladies Vase with 34 points (halves of 19 and 15 points).

Runner-up was Sarla Read (21hcp) with 33 points and third was Lynne Rumbold (18hcp) with 32 points.

Read’s challenge faded when she ended triple bogey, double bogey, while Rumbold ended with two doubles.
