THERE was another tight finish in Division One of the monthly weekend stableford at Caversham Heath.

The nod went to Matt Gibson (6hcp), on countback, ahead of Andrew Parker (10hcp), both with 31 points. Third was Michael Beaumont (6hcp) with 31 points.

Both Gibson and Parker had front and back nines of 19 and 13 points respectively.

Division Two winner was Greg McDonald (16hcp) who finished seven points clear of his nearest rival on 37 points. 

Runner-up was Julie Daniels (15hcp) with 30 points and third was Edward Houghton (12hcp) with 29 points.

Stewart Ostler (26hcp) claimed the Division Three top spot with 29 points. Second was Caroline Dover (28hcp), who beat her husband and club captain Daniel (19hcp) on countback, both with 25 points.

The Midweek Division One Stableford was won by Steve Streak (14hcp) with 39 points. 

Runner-up was Gary King (10hcp) with 37 points and third was Mervyn Jones (17hcp) with 35 points.

Division Two winner was Ralph Lambert (21hcp) with 36 points. Second was Fung Yee Sarah Lau (21hcp) with 34 points and third was Lynne Rumbold (18hcp) with 32 points.

Twos were recorded by Keith Taylor (8th hole) and by Colin Stoute (13th hole).
l Fiona Ives (32hcp) took the top spot in the Ladies Stableford with 36 points. Runner-up was Rumbold with 32 points and third was Kjersti Cannon (23hcp) with 30 points.

l Archie Smith (10hcp) won the Junior Stableford with 33 points, ahead of Jack Bristow (22hcp) with 32 points. Third was James Millard (6hcp) with 31 points.

l Caversham Heath golfer David Brittain (16hcp) scored a hole in one on the par 3 13th hole in a recent weekend stableford at the club.
