FULL TIME: Reading FC 3 - 0 Fulham.

85 mins. Reading make this game safe with a third goal of the day thanks to Nick Blackman.

The substitute had only been on the pitch seven minutes when he collected a delightful pass from Jake Taylor, rounded Kiraly and slotted the ball home from a difficult angle, even though a Fulham defender was back on the line.

Blackmen then kicks the corner flag and almost snaps it in half. Presumably, he wanted to start today's game!

85 mins. Reading FC 3 - 0 Fulham (NICK BLACKMAN).

85 mins. GGGGGGOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

81 mins. READING CHANCE: Jake Taylor's effort whistles just wide from 25 yards. Looked very close.

80 mins. READING SUB: Ryan Edwards for Akpan.

78 mins: SUBSTITUTIONS: Reading: Nick Blackman for Mackie. Fulham: Patrick Roberts for David.

74 mins. READING HIT WOODWORK: Another delightful cross from Jordan Obita to pick out Pogrebnyak whose downward header bounces up and off the crossbar with Kiraly beaten.

74 mins. FULHAM BOOKING: Sean Kavanagh fouls Jamie Mackie.

71 mins. FULHAM CHANCE. Chris David fires the free-kick wide, and Federici had it covered.

71 mins. Crunching tackle from Michael Hector on Fulham skipper Scott Parker there. It was a tad late and Fulham win a free kick in a dangerous position.

66 mins. READING SUB: Pavel Pogrebnyak for Murray.

No debut hat-trick for Murray today, but a superb display from the new signing.

Today's attendance is 18,790 including 2,745 Fulham fans.

56 mins. FULHAM SUB: Elsad Zverotic for Voser.

56 mins. Fulham and Reading join in chorus to sing 'You're Getting Sacked in the Morning.' Felix Magath look away now.

55 mins. Reading FC 2 - 0 Fulham (GLENN MURRAY).

At last! Reading double their lead and it's a second of the day for Glenn Murray on his Royals debut.

Fulham failed to clear their lines and a second corner in succession from Obita is headed home by Murray in a crowded goalmouth.

What price a Murray hat-trick on his Reading debut?

55 mins. GGGGGGOOOOOAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

53 mins. READING CHANCE. Jake Taylor's fierce strike is brilliantly saved by Kiraly at full-stretch. Royals piling on the pressure now.

50 mins. READING CHANCE: Another excellent chance goes begging as Gunter picks the unmarked Cox out with a lovely ship but the striker's first-time effort from eight yards is saved by Kiraly. A foot either side of the keeper and Cox surely would have scored.

4.06pm. The second half is underway.

One change for Fulham sees Lasse Vigen Christiensen replace Hyndman.

HALF TIME: Reading FC 1 - 0 Fulham.

Reading comfortably in the lead thanks to Glen Murray's 15th minute header.

Fulham are down to 10 men after Matt Smith was shown a straight red on 19 minutes.

42 mins. FULHAM BOOKING: Kay Voser goes in the book for a foul on Obita.

41 mins. READING CHANCE: Now Chris Gunter advances forward and pings a low fizzer from 25 yards that bounces just wide of the far post. Really lively contest now.

40 mins. READING CHANCE: Glenn Murray spins in the area but slices his shot narrowly wide of the far post. Murray is causing a lot of problems.

38 mins. FULHAM CHANCE: Chris David's angled shot draws a crucial low save from Adam Federici. Good effort that.

33 mins. READING CHANCE: Royals should be two-up here. Murray got free down the right and picked out Jake Taylor at the far post, but Taylor's first-time shot goes narrowly wide.

31 mins. FULHAM CHANCE: Scare for Reading at the back there but Chris Gunter makes a superb covering tackle when Tim Hoogland looked in on goal. The corner comes to nothing.

27 mins. Fulham have barely toouched the ball for the last five minutes as Royals use their one-man advantage to good effect. They're keeping possession and pulling Fulham all over the pitch. Eventually, the visitors should tire.

25 mins: FULHAM BOOKING: Emerson Hyndman pulls back Jake Taylor and is booked.

22 mins. Thankfully, Akpan is back on his feet after treatment. This could be a long afternoon for Fulham now.

19 mins. RED CARD. It's got even worse for Fulham as MATT SMITH is shown a straight red card by Mike Jones for a nasty tackle on Hope Akpan.

Smith's boot definitely looked high and Jones was on the spot and had a clear view. With no replays in the press box, we can only assume he got it right.

Little protest from Fulham and Smith also suggests so.

15 mins. Reading FC 1 - 0 Fulham (GLENN MURRAY).

So that's why Nigel Adkins was so okeen to bring Glenn Murray to the Madejski Stadium.

The new signing gets between two defenders and dives full length too head a Jordan Obita cross past Kiraly for his first goal in Royals colours.

To be fair, it was a sumptuous cross from Obita with his left boot from the far touch line. It was begging to be finished off - and Murray obliged before celebrating with east stand fans.

15 mins. GGGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

13 mins. FULHAM CHANCE: First real opening of the game goes to the visitors as Ross McCormack spins in the box but can't keep his volley down and the ball flies over the bar. Reading could have defended the cross into the box a little better there.

8 mins. Pretty even contest so far with neither keeper really called into action. Staying with keepers, Fulham's Gabor Kiraly has his usual grey trackie bottoms on today, and looks ridiculous!

5 mins. Glenn Murray shows plenty of strength and determination to win a corner, but it's overhit by Jordan Obita. That was a waste.

3 mins. Reading look more like a 4-4-2 side today, with Simon Cox up front with Glenn Murray.

Fulham line up 4-5-1 with Matt Smith the spearhead and £11 million man Ross McCormack and Chris David supporting from the flanks.

3.04pm. And Fulham get us underway albeit a few minutes late. GAME ON!

3.00pm. And here come the teams as they stride out onto the perfect Mad Stad surface.

Definitely a strong Asian/Thai presence in the director's box alongside Sir John Madejski.

2.51pm. There are plenty of Fulham fans here today as you would expect.

Felix Magath's Cottagers sit one place off the bottom of the table, but they are a better side than that and are sure to improve as the season goes on.

2.48pm. Good to see Garath McCleary, Hal Robson-Kanu and Jem Karacan milling around the Royals dugout. Three long-term injured on the road to recovery.

2.46pm. But, as new signing Glenn Murray said this week, Reading have had a better start to the season than Crystal Palace did the year he banged in 31 goals and helped them win promotion to the top flight.

2.45pm. A decent crowd is expected today for the first of back-to-back home games, with Millwall due to visit on Tuesday night. Six points there would make a massive difference to the team's prospects after a mixed start to the campaign.

2.33pm. This is a big chance for Reading to make a statement in the promotion race if they can pick up three points today.

Fulham have had a torrid start, but did show glimpses of improvement in a 1-1 draw with Cardiff City at Craven Cottage.

With the likes of Hugo Rodallega on the bench, the Cottagers have plenty of talent and cannot be taken lightly.

2.26pm: READING: Federici - Gunter (c), Pearce, Hector, Obita - Mackie, Akpan, Norwood, Taylor, Cox - Murray. Subs: Andersen, Pogrebnyak, Edwards, Blackman, Kuhl, Long, Cooper.

FULHAM: Kiraly, Hoogland, Bodrov, Parker (c), Voser, Hyndman, David, Kavanagh, Burn, McCormack, Smith. Subs: Stafylidis, Hutchinson, Zverotic, Roberts, Rodallega, Bettinelli, Christiensen.

2.15pm: GLENN MURRAY MAKES READING FC DEBUT.

It's just been confirmed Glenn Murray will start up front for Royals after his recent loan move from Crystal Palace. Suddenly, Reading's strikeforce - with Simon Cox and Jamie Mackie in support - has a menacing look about it.

2.05pm. Royals chief executive Nigel Hoew has been showing a group with links to the Thai consortium involved in the takeover around the pitch.

Reading are still waiting for the Football League to rartify the deal, which would see Khunying Sasima Srivikorn and the consortium buy 90% of the club for around £26 million.

2pm: Some early team news: It looks as though Glenn Murray will make his debut for the Royals up front, with Ryan Edwards is the man likely to make way.

There could be one more change to the side that won 1-0 at Middlesbrough two weeks ago, with Hope Akpan possibly getting the nod in front of Aaron Kuhl.

Recent signings Simon Cox, Oliver Norwood and Jamie Mackie are also likely to start for Reading.
