The new home kit will be worn for the first time on August 30 when Woodley entertain Didcot Town at Scours Lane.

Woodley chairman, Mark Rozzier, said: “Investment from K J Smith Solicitors helped us secure a three-year ground share with Reading Town at Scours Lane.

“We were in danger of losing our Hellenic League status due to the lack of facilities in Woodley.

“But I’m delighted that they’re providing further sponsorship support to help us attract new players and provide new kit”

Dave Pickup is head of marketing at K J Smith. He said: “We’ve made a long-term commitment to invest in football in our community.

“We think the new kit looks amazing, and there are other clubs interested in using these colours, which we intend to finance.”

Woodley did not have a fixture to fulfil last weekend. They return to Hellenic Division One East action this Saturday away at Headington Amateurs (3pm ko).

l HIGHMOOR Ibis FC made progress in the FA Cup on Saturday with a 4-1 win at Farnham Town.

Manager Marcus Richardson shuffled his squad for the extra preliminary round tie, handing a debut to Gareth Sanchee.

Ibis took the lead on 15 minutes when Raual Griffiths netted following good work from man-of-the-match Jordan Brown.

Minutes later, he clever 25-yard free-kick was volleyed in by Sanchez Commock - his first goal of the season.

A lapse in concentration allowed Combined Counties outfit Farnham pull one back. Adam Bicknell the benefactor on 38 minutes.

Brown got the goal his performance deserved on 69 minutes, and then Mitchell Parker added a fourth Ibis goal moments later.

Any chance Farnham had of a comeback was dashed when Bicknell was sent off for a second caution late on.

Highmoor returned to Hellenic Premier action last night (Wednesday) at Shrivenham, aiming to complete a hat trick of league wins to start the campaign.

They then travel to Kidlington on Saturday (3pm ko) and Reading Town next Tuesday (7.45pm).

• READING Town picked up their first win of the season with a hardfought 2-1 home success against Kidlington on Tuesday.

The hosts fell behind in the 10th minute of the Hellenic Premier League clash after Ryan Curtin scored from the penalty spot for Kidlington after their striker Lewis Coyle was brought down in the box.

But Town hit back impressively and notched a deserved 31st minute equaliser through midfielder Ed Chappe.

And they went on to secure the win when Carl Davies scored 10 minutes into the second half.

The club was knocked out of the FA Cup following a 1-0 defeat at home to fellow Hellenic Premier League side Shrivenham on Saturday.

The Town travel to Thame United this coming Saturday (3pm ko) as they attempt to secure back-to-back victories and continue their climb up the table.
