RYAN Adams hit a hat-trick as South Reading stunned Olney Town 5-4 in a thrilling Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup quarter-final encounter.
After Adams gave Reading the lead, the United Counties League side hit back with three goals to take charge of the match.
But Adams was again on target before half-time and then completed his hat-trick after Darrel Fairbrother equalised.
Ben Lyden scored Reading's fifth goal and although Olney reduced the deficit they were unable to force extra-time.
Hurst were also involved in another goal-filled cup clash when they overcame Berkshire United 4-3 in the Berks & Bucks Junior Cup.
Sam Browne scored twice for Berkshire, including a penalty, but Jake Horwood netted a brace in reply for Hurst and Shaun Bannon and Matthew Wilkin also found the net.
Goals from Ignazio Fiumara and Omar Edwards-Holmes helped Highmoor Ibis Reserves secure a 2-0 win against Newbury FC Reserves in the Berks & Bucks Junior Cup.
