MICHAIL Antonio says he is not interested in another loan move in a bid to fight for his place in Reading's first team.

Antonio scored four goals in 15 games while on loan at Colchester United earlier this season.

But since his return he has forced his way into Brian McDermott's squad and has enjoyed a string of cameo displays.

The 21-year-old could even make the starting line-up against Huill City this Saturday with fellow wingers Jimmy Kebe and Jobi McAnuff both doubtful through injury.

Tooting & Mitcham signing Antonio said: "I went out on loan to Colchester and did okay in the 14 games I was there.

"I've come back and the gaffer has given me a few opportunities so I try and do something in the cameos I get.

"They might be little cameos but hopefully they will soon become starts.

"I've just got to train hard, be patient and take my opportunities."

Antonio, who is under contract until summer 2012, added; "If I wasn't involved in the first-team squad I probably would be looking for another loan move.

"But now I'm getting minutes on the pitch so I can't complain.

"There are a lot of games left and at the end of the day Reading is my parent club and the club I want to play for.

"I don't really want to go out on loan and play for other teams now. I want to be here.

"The fans know who I am now, they sing my name, and give me lots of support."

Meanwhile, recent fatherhood has certainly changed Antonio's outlook on life.

His son - Michail Jnr - made his Madejski Stadium debut for the 3-0 win over West Ham.

"I should bring him along more often," he quipped.

"Becoming a father has definitely changed me. It has made me more determined to be successful in life.

"I just want to look after him and make sure he's got a secure future."
