MILLWALL have rejected a bid from Reading FC for captain Paul Robinson, claiming that the offer does not meet their valuation.

The centre-back began his career as a trainee with Millwall and signed a contract extension last year until 2013.

While stating they do not need to sell Robinson, Lions manager Kenny Jackett admitted that every player has a price, paving the way for an increased bid from Royals.

"In the current market, the offer we have received for our captain falls way below my valuation of him. We are not looking to sell Paul, nor am I under any pressure from the board to sell him," he told the Southwark News.

"However, I know every player does have his price, but were we to accept an offer for Paul, the amount would have to reflect the current market in the Championship, which is very high, and be of a level that will financially change the landscape of our season."
