EARLEY Home Guard wrapped up the Division One East title with two games to spare thanks to a comprehensive 6-2 win over Woodley Hammers Res.

Earley went a goal down early on with Woodley dominating possession in the opening 20 minutes of the game.

But the hosts recovered and found the equaliser shortly afterwards thanks to Eliott Whitehouse's goal from the penalty spot.

They then began to outplay the opposition and went into the break 3-2 up and didn't give the opposition a sniff in the second half.

Chris Waring, brothers Ashley and Courtney Isaacs and Fraser Mullen all added their names to the scoresheet while Oliver Chambers added a sixth.

Man-of-the-match was awarded to left back Simon Bates for his best performance of the season.

Loddon Valley Rangers ended the season with back-to-back victories and a final day 2-1 win over basement boys Imaan.

PURLEY recorded their fifth win in a row on Sunday beating struggling 116 Exiles 2-0 in the Premier Division.

While third-placed Fox & Hounds finished the season on a high with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Woodley Airfield.

Goring United picked up their first win in six matches after beating Henley Town 1-0 in Division One West.

Ibis/Misfits Res were on the right end of an eight-goal thriller against Victoria Arms. Misfits bounced back from last week's defeat to win 5-3.

Elsewhere there were wins for Barton Rovers and The County.

In Division Three East, Eldon Celtic are one game away from a remarkable achievement. They are the only side in the entire Reading and District Sunday League not to have lost a game this season and they continued their excellent form with a 3-2 victory over Arborfield.
