THE final local football programme before the Christmas break was completely wiped out by the wintry blast that brought Berkshire to a standstill.
The Reading & District Sunday League returns on January 3, with the Reading Football League set to resume the following Saturday (January 9).
The Chronicle sponsored South Chiltern Minor League also takes a break over Christmas and New Year and will return to action on the weekend of January 9-10.
However, barring postponements, the local Hellenic League teams are in action over the festive period.
Premier Division leaders Reading Town will be looking to bounce back from their first defeat of the season at the hands of Kidlington with a trip to seventh-placed Highworth Town on Boxing Day (3pm ko).
And Woodley Town will be looking to build on their impressive victory at Holyport last time out when they host second-bottom Newbury in One (East) also on Saturday (2pm ko).
