LOXWOOD Park Rangers celebrated a fifth Reading & District Sunday League Division Two win in a row as they beat Park Villa 3-0.

An inspired display by the Villa keeper kept Loxwood at bay before Callum Finlay finally managed to beat him from the penalty spot after 27 minutes.

Man-of-the-match Jason Seasman fired home his first goal for the club from 25 yards to make it 2-0 midway through the second half before Tom Slade added the third near the end.

Prior to kick off, Loxwood pumped £500 into the British Heart Foundation coffers as they officially handed over the cash raised from a charity football match.

The game was held in memory of former founder, manager and secretary Brian Smith at the start of the season when several former players joined the current squad for a game to raise funds for the charity.

The game itself raised £200, but this figure was matched by building company Kier and Loxwood added an extra £100 to bring the final tally to a very healthy £500.

Loxwood manager Jason Harris said: “The British Heart Foundation was the charity chosen by Brian’s widow Sue and it was a real pleasure to see so many former players return to the club to take part in the charity match in memory of Brian.”
