WOODLEY United ladies moved to within a point of Southern Region Division One North leaders Barton Rovers with a game in hand after they beat Oxford City Nomads 2-0, Rosie Page-Smith and Mollie Haines on target.

Barton Royals reached the semi finals of the Thames Valley Counties Women’s Football League Plate with a 3-2 penalty-shoot-out win following a 3-3 draw with Ascot United Reserves.

A brace from Caitlin Levy put Barton 2-0 up, and though Ascot pulled one back, a diving header from Tash McManus seemed to have the game safe for Royals.

However, United levelled matters before losing the shoot-out, Katy Cresswell, Levy and McManus firing Barton Royals into the last four.

Newbury Ladies lost 2-0 to Winchester City Flyers in the Southern Region Premier Division.

  • HIGHMOOR Ibis lost 2-0 at Wantage Town in the Hellenic League Premier Division on Saturday, before their Reading Senior Cup tie at home to Wokingham & Emmbrook was postponed on Monday night.

Highmoor Ibis host Binfield in the league on Saturday (3pm).

Woodley United's Bluefin Sports Supplementary Cup tie with Brackley Town Saints was postponed on Saturday. The Kestrels host Wantage Town on Monday (7.45pm).

The wet weather also forced AFC Aldermaston's Hellenic League Division One East clash at home to Holyport to be postponed.

Tilehurst YM top the Premier Division following a 6-2 demolition of basement boys AFC Burghfield.

Henley Town beat Spencers Wood 2-1, WS Hobnob overcame Imaan FC 2-0, Woodley Wanderers Reserves won 6-4 at Pangbourne & Basildon Barbarians, and Woolhampton CFC downed Caversham AFC 4-0.
