TILEHURST YM remain third in the Premier Division table following a convincing 3-0 victory at home to Woodley United, writes Richard Ashton.

The Young Men took the lead on the stroke of half time when Craig Palmer found the back of the net, and could have doubled their advantage shortly after the break, only for a penalty to be disallowed as the ball was deemed to have been touched twice.

Woodley came close to equalising when Loic Srodawa's strike hit the post, but an own goal and a 65th-minute effort from Ryan Brown ensured victory for the home side.

In Division Four, leaders South Reading dropped points for just the second time in 11 games as they were held to a 1-1 draw at The Bugle, while third-placed Fox & Hounds suffered a disappointing 6-2 reverse at Shinfield Park United.

Basement boys Caversham Park United were thumped 5-1 at home by Sanctuary Strikers, Calcot Royals drew 3-3 with Shinfield Rangers and Borussia Teeth suffered a 2-0 home loss to New England.

Thames Athletic progressed in the John Lusted Cup with a 2-1 home win against Theale.
