WOODLEY United were knocked out of the Tilehurst Charity Cup following a 4-2 home defeat against Richfield Rovers Reserves, writes Richard Ashton.

Richfield raced into a 4-0 lead early on, and though Woodley fought back with a second-half brace from Rob Timbers, the visitors held on.

Purley won a nine-goal thriller 5-4 against Le Galaxy, Emmer Green eased past Dee Road Rangers 4-0, Kidmore End/The Mod won 2-0 at Ghana Stars and Richfield Rovers advanced with a 3-2 win against Athletico Forest.

Tilehurst YM took the lead against Reading Irish before being eliminated 3-1.

In the Reading & District Sunday League Premier Division, Polonia Reading battled to a 3-2 victory at Woodley Wanderers.

Division One leaders Eldon Celtic moved four points clear at the top after their 3-2 home win against AFC Burghfield, while 116 Exiles conceded their game at Southcote Colts.

Reading United made it seven Division One wins from seven with a 3-2 win against second-placed The Bull, while Imaan FC thrashed Woodley Wanderers Reserves 7-3 and Woolhampton CFC squeezed past Pangbourne & Basildon Barbarians 2-1.

Henley Town beat WS Hobnob 3-2, AFC Burghfield Reserves overcame Caversham AFC 2-0, Spencers Wood downed Burghfield 4-3 and AFC Bradfield shared the spoils 3-3 with S.C. United.

Nathan Harvey celebrated his first start for more than two years with a goal as Loxwood outgunned 116 Exiles Res 5-0 in Division Two.

A Dan Pringle double put Loxwood 2-0 up at the break, and Harvey added another before Callum Finlay’s brace sealed a comfortable win.

Leaders Sportsman crushed Brimpton Athletic 6-1, Coley Park smashed Southbank 4-0 and Berkshire Rovers won 4-1 at Wokingham & Emmbrook.

Arborfield obliterated Whitley Athletic 9-0 and Maiden Place annihilated Forest FC 8-0.
