WOODLEY United conceded three late goals in a 4-2 defeat at Almondsbury in a pre-season friendly on Saturday.

They had also been slow to start, but worked their way into the game with Abdul Kamara, Josh Drew and Nathanael Robinson looking lively in attack.

United fell behind after 33 minutes, but equalised through Robinson just before the break from a chance set up by Ashley Ledger and Drew.

Robinson put the Kestrels ahead on 55 minutes from from a free-kick and at this stage looked the more likely side to win.

However, the Toolstation Western League side made it 2-2 with a smart turn and shot on 73 minutes.

They took the lead from a corner four minutes from time and two minutes later put the issue beyond doubt, their goals coming from Danny Lane (2), Ross Church and Stuart Alexander.

Woodley continued their friendlies on Tuesday away to Combined Counties League side Farnham Town, losing 1-0 to a 69th-minute goal.
