GEORGE Lloyd scored a stunning hat-trick to help Berks County Reserves seal the Division Three title with a 6-2 success at Woodley United A, writes Richard Ashton.

Alex Hills grabbed a brace and Miles Keeley got the other goal for the Swords, who have won the title with four games still to play, having won 15 of their 16 matches to date.

Second-placed Newbury Reserves were stunned 4-2 by lowly White Eagles Reserves, Tomasz Jakubowski, Piotr Bronk, Tomasz Halys and Kamil Zbroszczyk netting for the hosts. Dominic Nash and Daniel Jones were on target for Newbury.

Hurst Reserves edged out Unity Reserves 3-2, and Paul Lyall and Sam McKinless goals gave Maidenhead Town Reserves a 2-1 victory at home to Ashridge Park.

Reading YMCA took a major step nearer to the Premier Division crown with a hard-fought 2-1 success at fourth-placed Newbury. Jordan Cox and Dan Donegan were on the scoresheet for the Young Men, with Daniel Langford getting the goal for the hosts.

Harrison Cook, Shaun Bannon, Tom Hill and Barney Sweeney netted for basement boys Hurst as they secured just a third win of the season with a shock 4-1 victory at Berks County, and Frank Sillah’s goal earned Wraysbury Village a point at Rotherfield United.

Matthew Fox got the only goal of the game as Mortimer won 1-0 at Taplow United, and Cookham Dean overcame Unity 2-1.

Marlow United reached the semi finals of the Berkshire Trophy Centre Senior Cup after beating Woodley United Reserves 5-3.

Ollie Flint, Qwamani Thomas, Andrew Nicol and Curtis Tannis all scored for the visitors, while Sam Guze bagged a brace for Woodley and Luke Blakebrough got the other.

In Division One, the game between leaders Maidenhead Magpies and Westwood United was abandoned with the score 2-2 shortly before the end following an incident with a spectator.

Casey Warwick was on the scoresheet for Mortimer Reserves, but they were thumped 5-1 by Reading YMCA Rapids, while Stephen Pope and Owen Guest got the goals as Frilsham & Yattendon won 2-1 at FC Imaan Lions. Kamran Khan struck the consolation for the home side.

A David Powell double gave Finchampstead Reserves a 2-1 success against Westwood United Reserves in Division Two, while Maidenhead Magpies Reserves conceded their game at home to Burghfield.

Substitute Peter Jones scored twice to help Hurst A beat AFC Corinthians A 2-1 in Division Four, and Seamus Stapleton got both the goals for Taplow United A in their 2-2 draw at Braybrooke. Ashley Balfour and James Richardson netted for the hosts.
