HIGHMOOR Ibis ended their 11-match winless run in the Hellenic League Premier Division with a 3-1 home win against Lydney Town.
Anthony White gave the home side the lead midway through the opening half, and the striker then doubled his tally and his side’s lead 15 minutes into the second half.
Joe Grant ensured Marcus Richardson’s men would end their long wait for a league victory when he hit the target with nine minutes remaining, and although Peter Mattley struck shortly afterwards, there was no way back for Lydney.
The result lifted Highmoor Ibis above Ascot United into 13th place in the table.
They will look for back-to-back wins when rock bottom Burnham visit Rivermoor next Tuesday (7.45pm).
