HIGHMOOR Ibis were involved in a remarkable Hellenic League Premier Division match at Highworth on Saturday – the teams sharing 12 goals.

Marcus Richardson’s (pictured bottom right) men came from three down to lead 5-3 and then 6-5, only to concede a late equaliser from the penalty spot.

The goal fest started as early as the second minute when Aysa Corrick put the hosts ahead and he went on to complete his hat-trick before Liam Gavin opened Highmoor’s account in the 44th minute.

Two minutes into the second half Jamie Piercy (pictured above right) made it 3-2 and a Lamin Sanko hat-trick, between the 59th and 70th minutes, put Highmoor 5-3 ahead.

Kieron Gleed and substitute Ash Edenborough brought the scores level, only for Jamie Connor to restore the visitors’ lead in the 81st minute.

But Highmoor’s hopes of all three points ended when they conceded a penalty, which Edenborough converted in the 89th minute. Ibis, who remain 14th in the table, are home to ninth-placed Royal Wootton Bassett on Saturday.
