RICHFIELD Rovers are through to the quarter-finals of the Tilehurst Charity Cup after defeating Senior Division rivals Southcote 3-2 on Sunday.

They now play Purley on a date to be arranged.

Their reserve team are already through to the last eight, playing AFC Pangbourne at Laurel Park on January 8.

Dee Road Rangers and Woodley Wanderers have booked their places in the semi-finals.

Rangers remain top of the Senior Division following their 6-4 win over sixth-placed Reading YMCA at the weekend, with Mitchell Parker scoring a hat-trick.

Richfield Reserves drew 1-1 at Mortimer in the Premier Division.

Barton Rovers extended their lead at the top of the Premier Division, but were made to work hard by winless Ghana Sports before winning 3-2.

Purley Reserves received a walk-over at the expense of Tilehurst YM, while the game between Woodley Wanderers and Pangbourne was abandoned.

Division 1 table-toppers Le Galaxy are now 10 out of 10 after scheduled opponents, Spencers Wood, cancelled their fixture.

Second-placed Eldon Celtic slipped nine points behind the leaders after crashing to a 7-1 defeat at seventh-placed Woodley United.

Woodley were 2-0 up after 18 minutes with a fine brace from Kevin Finlay.

Eldon lost their discipline in the last 10 minutes of the first half culminating in having two players dismissed in quick succession.

This made the task easier for United with man-of-the-match Finlay completing his hat-trick and Ollie Jones getting two goals with Chris Barkus, Graham Dew and Brodie Davies adding one a piece.

Exiles, in third spot, edged home 2-1 against Athletico Forest.

AFC Burghfield defeated FC Woodley 3-2 in the Industrial Cup to join Eldon, Le Galaxy and AFC Burghfield in the semi-finals.

Caversham AFC won 2-1 away to the Falcon to remain top of Division 2, but unbeaten Pangbourne & Basildon Barbarians stay hot on their heels following their 5-3 victory over Loxwood Park Rangers.

They went a goal down early on to a strike from Danny Pringle,following a Jamie Presland cross.to fire his side into a seventh minute lead.

However, Pangbourne hit back within 60 seconds thanks to stunning free kick and were gifted the lead 10 minutes later when Jake Giles slotted the ball past his own keeper.

Another mistake at the back allowed the home side to take a 3-1 interval lead before Duncan Greenwood gave away a penalty at the start of the second half which left the visitors trailing 4-1.

Four substitutions and a change of shape started to make a difference as Pringle headed home to make it 4-2, but a goalkeeping error gifted Pangbourne a fifth before Pringle completed his hat trick from the penalty spot.

Loxwood manager Jason Harris was left wondering how his team could play so well the previous week against the Division One leaders and then struggle to string two passes together a week later.

Unbeaten AFC Basildon, in second place, were held 2-2 by Tilehurst Club A, the side immediately below them, and fourth-in-the-table Southbank got the better of Mortimer Reserves by a 2-1 margin.

There was an amazing game in Division 4 East, where leaders Lowfield Green defeated South Reading 8-7.

Twyford Comets, four points behind in second place, won 2-1 at Six Bells, while a 3-1 win over Fox & Hounds kept Delta Vigo third in the standings.

Fourth team Borussia Teeth slammed bottom club Shinfield Rangers 5-1.

Southcote Colts consolidated their place at the top of Division 4 West by beating The Bugle 3-0 and the third team, AFC Pangbourne Reserves, won 5-1 at New England.
