TILEHURST YM put in a stunning performance to hammer previously unbeaten Premier Division leaders Barton Rovers 6-0, writes Richard Ashton.

The table-toppers had won all seven of their games before coming across the in-form Young Men, who made it back-to-back league wins following their qualification for the Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup quarter finals.

It was the irrepressible Matt Gill who again led from the front, the defender popping up with a brace to take his tally to three goals in two games.

His fellow Sulhamstead cricket club teammates Craig Palmer and Ryan Brown were also on the scoresheet, with the rout completed by the electric Michael Chard (pictured) and top scorer Danny Nicholson. Aaron Briggs provided two assists from left back.

In the Senior Division, Burghfield earned a first win of the season with a 4-2 success at rock bottom Kidmore End/The Mod, while defending champions Reading Irish remain unbeaten following a 2-1 triumph against Reading YMCA.

Dee Road Rangers advanced in the Tilehurst Charity Cup with a 3-0 cruise against Emmer Green, while Woodley Wanderers triumphed 5-3 at Mortimer.

Eldon Celtic crushed Arborfield 5-1 in the Industrial Cup, and AFC Burghfield also progressed after they beat Charvil Rangers 6-5 on penalties following a 3-3 draw after extra time.

The prolific Hugh Barklem scored a hat-trick as Henley Town returned to winning ways with a 4-1 win at Tilehurst Titans in the Ted Cambridge Cup, with Reading United advancing after Theale conceded.

In the John Lusted Cup, Englefield downed AFC Lowfield Green 4-2, Fox & Hounds knocked out Calcot Royals 3-0 and Six Bells demolished Delta Vigo 8-1.

In Division One, third-placed Polonia Reading hammered Spencers Wood 7-3, Athletico Forest beat basement boys S.C. United 2-0 and 116 Exiles won 3-2 at Woodley United.

Second-placed Pangbourne & Basildon Barbarians overcame WS Hobnob 5-2 in Division Two, with Falcon and Imaan sharing the spoils 3-3.

Park Villa went second in Division Three East with a 5-2 win at 116 Exiles Reserves, Coley Park smashed FC Berksalona 5-1 and Berkshire Rovers beat Loddon Valley Rangers 3-0.

Tilehurst Club A eased past Whitley Athletic 5-1 in Division Three West, while second-placed Twyford Comets obliterated Borussia Teeth 6-1 in Division Four East.

Barton Rovers Reserves crushed Kennet Valley 8-0 in Division Four West, with AFC Pangbourne Reserves blasting The Bugle 4-0.
