MARLOW United closed the gap at the top of the Premier Division after a 3-1 win at Highmoor Ibis Reserves on Saturday.

With league leaders Reading YMCA not in action, Marlow took full advantage and are now one point off top spot.

Wesley Sutherland scored in the first half for Marlow, with Qwamani Thomas and Liam Bushay also netting.

Newbury remain third in the table following their 4-2 win at Taplow United. Leroy Clarke, Daniel Langford, Patrick Nelligan and Alex Nimmo were on target, while Marvin Hinds hit a brace for Taplow.

Berks County inflicted more misery on pointless Hurst with a 3-0 victory at East Park Farm.

A hat-trick from substitute Michael Hancock helped Mortimer to a 4-1 win at Rotherfield United, and move the club up into the top half of the league table. Matthew Fox also found the back of the net.

Wraysbury Village earned a 3-1 victory over Unity thanks to a Richard Bond brace and one from Spencer Taffurelli.

The league was well represented in cup matches with Cookham Dean beating Slough Heating from the East Berkshire League 4-1.

Woodcote Stoke Row were 5-2 winners against Mansfield Road of the Oxford Senior League Premier Division in the Oxford Senior Cup second round. Jonny Summers (2), Andy Bullett, Michael Butcher and James Worsfold were on target.

Adrian Vazquez bagged one of two consolation goals as Woodley United Reserves were beaten 7-2 at Finchampstead Reserves. James Payne was the star performer with a hat-trick, while Chase Jacobs and Kieran Robinson both netted twice.

Division One

ELDON Celtic extended their lead in Division One to seven points after a 3-2 win at Maidenhead Town. Mitchell Burley and Dave Hyde were among the Eldon goal scorers.

Maidenhead Magpies remain fourth after a 3-1 win against AFC Corinthians. Nathan Lishman (2) and George Lock netted.

Frilsham & Yattendon joined the chasing pack with a 3-2 win at Mortimer Reserves thanks to goals from Stefan Allen and substitute Edward Port.

Elswehere, FC Imaan Lions beat Ye Old Swan Burnham 3-2 with two goals by sub George Dallarda and one from Adil Asghar. The Lions also had Sabeel Asghar dismissed for two bookings inside a minute.

Reading YMCA Rapids beat Kennington Athletic 1-0 and Winnersh Rangers won by the same scoreline at Stoke Poges.

Goals from Jason Badger and Tony O’Connor helped Westwood United to a 2-0 home victory over Shrivenham.

Division Two

WARGRAVE missed the chance to make ground on the Division Two leaders after a 5-1 thumping at home to Woodcote Stoke Row Reserves.

Maidenhead Magpies Reserves won 2-0 at Taplow United Reserves. David Eales and Ben Ridley scored.

Highmoor Ibis Under 21s recorded their first league win after beating Goring United 2-1.

In cup action, Barkham Athletic lost 7-0 to Penn & Tylers Green Reserves, while Burghfield beat Sutton Courtney 3-2.

Lukasz Czekaj scored a consolation goal for White Eagles in their 3-1 defeat at Wallingford Town Reserves.

Division Three

BERKS County Reserves are the new Division Three leaders after a 3-0 win against Unity Reserves at Cintra Park.

Greg Rowley (2) and George Lloyd were on target. Robert Usher was shown at straight red for the victors.

Woodley United A moved up to third with a 5-2 victory over Maidenhead Town Reserves thanks to a hat-trick from Asa Povey and goals from Harry Neate and substitute Billy Gale. Chip Duncan and Steve Newell replied for Maidenhead.

Struggling Rotherfield United Reserves lost 3-2 at White Eagles Reserves. Michael Hunt and Luke Maze scored for the losing side. Lukasz Hryniewicz, Bartosz Rochatka and Sebastian Urbanski netted for the winners.

In cup football, Ashridge Park lost 4-1 at home to Wokingham & Emmbrook Reserves, and Newbury FC Reserves lost 8-1 at Hungerford Town Swifts. Perry Watts scored Newbury’s goal.

Hurst Reserves lost 9-8 in a dramatic penalty shoot-out with Shrivenham following a 3-3 draw at East Park Farm.

Division Four

A JORDON Sawyer hat-trick helped South Reading to a 7-0 win at The Hoop Leaf and keep them top of Division Four.

Ibraham Koroma scored twice and Craig Priest netted once in the win at Cintra Park.

AFC Corinthians A are just a single point behind in third place after their 2-1 victory over Taplow United A, while Berks County Reserves won 4-0 at Wargrave Reserves.

In the only other league match, Hurst A thrashed Harchester Hawks Reserves 13-1 at the Cricket Ground. Substitute Charlie Scope bagged a four-timer, Asher Price hit a hat-trick, and Arron Burch two. There were also goals for Jamie Grainger, Ryan Hawley and Christopher McLean.

In cup football, Braybrooke won 5-0 at Robertswood where Martin Bradshaw hit a hat-trick, and Jack Kendall added the other two goals.
