SANDHURST were crowned champions after recording a 61-run win over promotion-chasing Welford Park.

Anthony Clapham (47) top scored in Sandhurst's 167-8, with Pratheesh Rajpal taking 5-37 for Welford.

Alan Baylis hit an unbeaten 49 in response but four wickets from Ross Fagan helped lead the Camels to victory.

Stratfield Turgis eased to an 83-run victory over Goring on the back of Steve Clarke's century.

Clarke (102) and James Wright (54) were both amongst the runs as Stratfield reached 221 batting first.

Duncan Kent (44) was the best of the Goring batsmen but Nathan Field took 6-39 as they were dismissed for 138.

Tom Osborne led Ibis Mapledurham to a nervy two-wicket win over Bradfield.

His unbeaten 62 provided the backbone of the chase after Chad Cudjoe took 5-57 to help restrict Bradfield to 157.

Elsewhere, Farley Hill beat Ruislip Victoria by 102 runs, with Duncan Scott taking 4-9 as Ruislip were bowled out for 83.

Crown Wood must win their final match to give themselves any chance of avoiding relegation.

CHAMPIONS Crowthorne stretched their winning run to six matches after beating Warfield by six wickets.

Ross Chalmers was the destroyer-in-chief with his first five-wicket haul of the season, returning figures of 5-38 as Warfield were bundled out for 92.

With the weather closing in, Crowthorne were keen to press on for victory and, after a rain break, Ant Cluett (31*) and Richard Barron (35) pushed the Crows towards the meagre target.

A couple of late wickets from Warfield stalwart Jim Moulder briefly thwarted the Crows but in the end they ran out easy victors.

Zimbabwean Chalmers said: "It was good to get a game in despite the poor weather. We have one left to go and we intend to give it everything to get a victory to sign off the season in style."

Meanwhile, a below-par batting display condemned Shinfield to a five-wicket defeat to Emmbrook & Bearwood.
