BERKSHIRE CCC comprehensively beat Shropshire by 128 runs in the MCCA Trophy final at a packed Wormsley this afternoon.
A century from Richard Morris (112) helped Berkshire set an imposing total of 284-9 off 50 overs.
Berkshire took control of the game in the latter stages with superb bowling and catching yielding five wickets for just eight runs as Shropshire were dismissed for 156 in reply.
Harry Stephens was the pick of the Berks bowlers, finishing with tremendous figures of 4-16.
Captain James Morris has won the trophy in his first season in charge of the Minor County.
