KIDMORE End suffered a third straight Division 2a defeat as champions North Maidenhead hammered James Frost’s side by 210 runs, writes Richard Ashton.

Guy Ashby was the pick of the Kidmore attack with 3-68 from his 10 overs, but the hosts smashed 344-9 in their 50 overs, Imran Butt blasting 133 and Sahaan John adding 68 from just 36 balls.

The Kidmore reply never got going as Saeed Bukhari took 4-44, and the visitors were eventually shot out for 134.

Kidmore End finish their campaign at Bagshot (12.30pm) on Saturday (12.30pm).

In Division 2b, Hurst eased to a comfortable seven-wicket home win against relegated Sonning.

Jason Pennisi top scored with 75, but the away side were dismissed for 197.

Hurst slipped to 48-2, but fine knocks from Floyd Na Nagara (41), Usman Ijaz (56no) and Tim Walder (48no) steered their side home with more than 10 overs to spare.

Sonning host Yateley on Saturday, while Hurst travel to High Wycombe 2nds.

Purley on Thames crashed to an 85-run defeat at home to Fleet in Division 3a.

The visitors scored 207-2, before the Potters collapsed to 122 all out, skipper Pat Allen (81) the only one to put up any resistance.

Purley on Thames visit Finchampstead 3rds on Saturday (12.30pm).

Wargrave – who had a bye last weekend – were knocked off top after Wokingham 2nds thrashed Cove 2nds by 10 wickets.

It leaves Wargrave – who visit Wokingham 2nds on Saturday (12.30pm) – 13 points adrift of the table-toppers ahead of a title decider.

Michael Holder made 59 and took 3-33 for fourth-placed Theale & Tilehurst (206), but they lost by five wickets to Amersham 3rds (207-5) in Division 4b.

Theale & Tilehurst host Farnham Royal on Saturday (12.30pm).

Martin Smith took stunning figures of 7-11 as Wargrave 2nds (105-4) ensured their Division 5b survival with a six-wicket win at second-bottom Slough 4ths.

Sonning 2nds wrapped up the Division 6b title with a commanding eight-wicket win against Aldershot 3rds.

They bowled the visitors out for 151 before captain Dan Anderson (53no) and Naqash Tahir (47) took them to victory in 34.5 overs.

Raj Senniappan (6-31) led Purley on Thames (77-4) up to second following their six-wicket win against Yateley 3rds.

Matt Morrison bagged 6-32 as Hurst 2nds (133-3) cruised past Finchampstead 4ths (132) by seven wickets.

Division 7a champions Theale & Tilehurst 2nds (205-7) had to hang on for a draw at home to Kidmore End 2nds (242-5 declared from 44 overs).

Mark New (77) and Johnny Abbott (52no) put Kidmore in control, but Micky Mehta’s 48 led the T&T resistance in a stalemate.

Theale & Tilehurst 3rds sewed up the Division 8a title with a 65-run victory against Reading 4ths.

Chris Long (88) and Khadim Aslam (78) helped T&T declare on 234-6 off 44 overs, and despite Jack Wright’s 67, they dismissed Reading for 169.

Waqas Tahir’s 5-21 led Sonning 3rds (114-5) to a five-wicket win against Royal Ascot 4ths (112).

Matt Townson (134no) and Taran Sohi (61) were in top form as Wargrave 3rds (251-2 declared off 37 overs) thrashed Newbury 3rds (131) by 120 runs in Division 9a.

Kidmore End 3rds (160) lost to Cookham Dean 4ths (161-3) by seven wickets.
