CROWTHORNE & Crown Wood recorded a second straight Premier Division win as they cruised to a seven-wicket success at Welford Park, writes Richard Ashton.

The home side collapsed to 61-6 as Sinith Chandran (3-21) and Jeff Cluett (3-30) impressed with the ball, and despite Stepehen Yahia’s 58, they were bowled out for 152.

That target never looked like it would be enough, and Muhammed Arshad (61) continued his good form to help Crows home in just 29 overs.

Table-topping Sulhamstead slipped to their first loss of the season as they were beaten by 45 runs at home to Berkshire County Sports.

Sully had their opponents in trouble at 89-7, but an excellent counter-attack by Saqib Hussain (58 from 52 balls) resurrected the innings to 177 all out. Craig Palmer was the pick of the attack with 3-42.

The Sulhamstead innings never really got going, and with Sohail Jutt taking 5-24, they were bowled out for 132.

Champions West Reading eased to a six-wicket success at home to Ruislip Victoria.

Adeel Razaq (3-58) led the way as the visitors were dismissed for 209, Imran Sohail (51) top scoring.

Kazam Kamal blasted 68 from only 48 balls in reply, and with Zafar Ali unbeaten on 49, Wests closed on 210-4.

Chris Pharo scored 67 for Sandhurst (164-9), but that target was insufficient to stop Peppard Stoke Row (168-5) winning by five wickets. Fergus Nutt made 45 for PSR.

A brilliant century from Kashif Ali (118no) inspired Woodley (207-5) to a first victory of the season as they downed Woodcote (206-6) by five wickets. Jez Mayon top scored with 49 for the hosts.

Division One leaders Bradfield were forced to hold on for a draw against Checkendon.

Manpreet Singh (79) and Ujwal Tickoo (50) led Checks to 238-6, but an unbeaten 50 from Will Nevill secured the draw for Bradfield (174-7).

Mortimer West End fell just short of victory in a thrilling draw at home to Ibis Mapledurham.

Dave Drury (72) and Matt Jones (74) batted well as Ibis racked up 239-8, and despite Nick Kingston making 78 in reply, MWE were left holding on at 231-9.

Adam Telford (56) and Ollie Williams (50) gave Emmbrook and Bearwood the momentum to thrash West Reading 2nds by 141 runs.

The Bears were bowled out for 247 – Saad Jaffary claiming 4-51 – but then skittled Wests for 116 as Richard Cole bagged 5-43.

Keerthi Prakash (61no) guided Sulhamstead 2nds (154-4) to a convincing six-wicket triumph at Farley Hill (153-9).

Steve Wincott (84) top scored as Goring on Thames (226-8) crushed Peppard Stoke Row 2nds (96) by 130 runs.

In Division Two, leaders Waltham St Lawrence (65-9) won an extraordinary low-scoring classic by one wicket at Earley (64). Rob Lean took 5-11 for the losing side.

A brilliant spell from Craig Strudley (5-18) helped Stratfield Turgis (161-7) to a 59-run win against Woodley 2nds (102).

Robin Thompson claimed 5-19 as Hawley crashed from 70-1 to 108 all out in a nine-wicket defeat to Twyford and Ruscombe (109-1). Captain Stuart Barrable struck 65 not out for Twyford.

Crowthorne and Crown Wood 2nds (150-6) lost by two wickets to Emmbrook and Bearwood 2nds (151-8).

Knowl Hill stayed top of Division Three thanks to a 110-run cruise against Sandhurst 2nds.

James Stoker (74) top scored as the visitors totalled 203-7, and despite Dan Bird carrying his bat for 51 not out, the Camels were skittled for just 93.

Opener Mick Walker scored 67 for Ruislip Victoria 2nds (187-7), but they were beaten by eight wickets by Bradfield 2nds (188-2), for whom Chris Jones smashed an unbeaten 97.

West Reading 3rds obliterated Welford Park 2nds by 176 runs.

Sohail Arshad battered 92 from just 73 balls as Wests were bowled out for 274, and Wasim Akram (4-21) and Munir Khan (4-24) then routed Park for just 98.

Krish Weerasamy made 59 for Purley on Thames 3rds (187) as they drew with Mortimer (126-9). Jeff Hinds took 4-15 for the Potters.

A wonderful century from Hassan Safdar (114) helped Shinfield 2nds (283-9 declared in 43 overs) to a winning draw against Falkland Development (178-8). David Harrison (73no) was the star man for the visitors.

Marshall Miller bagged 4-24 as Crowthorne and Crown Wood 3rds (55-0) leapfrogged West Reading 4ths (52) into second spot with a 10-wicket procession.

Tinoi Christie (64) top scored for Mortimer West End 2nds (209) as they beat Waltham St Lawrence 2nds (190) by 19 runs. Andrew Hartland made 61 for the Saints.

Madhur Sharma struck an unbeaten 66 to guide Sulhamstead 3rds (102-2) to an eight-wicket success against Emmbrook and Bearwood 3rds (101) by eight wickets.

Peppard Stoke Row 3rds hammered Binfield 3rds by 96 runs in the Bye Week Challenge.

Hugh Asquith (119no) struck a third century in four games – hoisting his average to 198.5 – as PSR racked up 239-2 in their 40 overs at the crease, and Binfield struggled to a total of just 143-6 in reply, John Humphrey (61no) top scoring.
