ABID Ul-Wahab took a staggering eight wickets as Kidmore End thrashed Chesham 2nds by 139 runs in Division 2a, writes Max Baker-Smith.

Jake Easton (89) led the way for Kidmore as they made their way to 244-8, but it was Ul-Wahab (8-52) who tore through the Chesham 2nds batting line up as they crumbled to 105 all out.

Kidmore End visit Tring Park 2nds on Saturday (12.30pm).

In Division 2b, Wargrave lost at Royal Ascot by 62 runs.

Jack Kendall (66) and captain Nick Sweetman (59) scored half centuries for the hosts as they declared on 252-6.

In reply, Dan Pratt (43) top scored for Wargrave, but their batting efforts never really got going as they were bowled out for 190.

Wargrave host Beaconsfield this Saturday (12.30pm).

Phil Higgs bowled Hurst to a six-wicket win against Beaconsfield.

Chris Thomas (56) dragged his side to 145-9 as off spinner Higgs (5-50) starred, and Hurst chased down the total with minimal fuss to win inside 37 overs.

Hurst are at home to High Wycombe 2nds on Saturday (12.30pm).

Purley-on-Thames lost to Finchampstead 3rds by 73 runs in Division 3a.

Caleb Maycock (5-28) continued his fine form, but Josh Lincoln (72) saw his side to 174 all out.

And Sam Taylor (7-35) then bowled superbly with the old ball to tear through the Potters’ batting line-up, as they were skittled for 101.

Purley-on-Thames travel to Cove 2nds this coming Saturday (12.30pm).

Second-placed Sonning beat Cove 2nds by three wickets to maintain their promotion push.

James Sharrod (82) scored the only half century for the hosts from No. 7 as they were bowled out for 204, but Duncan Parr (77) and Rehan Akram (73) put together a strong partnership for the hosts as they crossed the winning line.

Sonning visit Reading 2nds this Saturday (12.30pm).

In Division 4b, Theale and Tilehurst drew at Cookham Dean 2nds.

James White (67) saw T&T to 208 all out, and they had their opponents in trouble at 106-6, but the hosts managed to hold on for the draw, ending 172-8.

Theale & Tilehurst host Fleet this Saturday (12.30pm).

Sonning 2nds beat Falkland 3rds by 96 runs in Division 5b.

Hasnein Akram (73) top scored for Sonning as they posted 252-8, and although Sunil Sharma (70no) put up resistance for the hosts, they were bowled them out for 156.

In Division 6b, Wargrave 2nds beat Royal Ascot 3rds by eight wickets.

Australian Jack Lunghusen (83) got the only score of real substance for Royal Ascot as they were skittled for 151, and Kam Hanif (62) scored a half century to help Wargrave to their target with relative ease.

Purley-on-Thames 2nds beat Fleet 2nds by six wickets.

Ciaran Byrne (62) led the way for Fleet as they declared on 223-8, but James Measham (100no) batted excellently for the Potters to see them home in the 44th over.

Hurst 2nds lost to Aldershot 3rds by two wickets.

Kyle Bradley (56no, pictured) helped Hurst post a competitive 222-7, but Aldershot 3rds No. 8 Dominic Gaskill (58no) changed the game as he led his side to victory with a good knock.

Theale and Tilehurst 2nds drew with Wokingham 3rds.

Cameron Gillespie (85) impressed as the Oaks amassed a daunting 304-7, but T&T managed to hold on with just one wicket in hand, ending with 200-9.

Kidmore End 2nds clung onto a draw against Finchampstead 4ths in Division 7a.

Matt Eldridge (106) helped Finch post 240-4 declared, but Kidmore 2nds hung on for the draw ending 183-8.

Jack Springgay stole the show with bat and ball as Theale and Tilehurst 3rds beat Henley 4ths by eight wickets.

He took 3-34 as Henley were bowled out for 195, and then smashed 107 to see his side easily chase their target down.

Sonning 3rds beat Windsor 4ths by three wickets in Division 8a.

David Chapman (85) helped Windsor to 232-7, but Sonning chased down the score well, reaching their target in the 39th over.

Wokingham 5ths annihilated Kidmore End 3rds by 10 wickets in Division 9a.

Hugh Doyle (6-26) starred as Kidmore were rolled over for just 96, and the Oaks knocked off the total with ease.
