Accusations aired on message boards

Some scandalous accusations are being aired on the Harlequins' message board over David Paice's sending off last week at the Madejski Stadium.

The Irish hooker was a bit unlucky to be singled out for a red card after a mass brawl last Saturday during Quins' 14-9 victory, although he then didn't help himself by mouthing off to the fourth official as he stomped off down the tunnel and has deservedly been given a four wek ban.

However, some Quins fans suggestions that Paice specifically singled out Quins' prop Mark Lambert because he had a suffered a brain inury three years ago are a disgrace. Punching has no place in rugby but to suggest he targetted someone in that way misjudges the man, the club and the sport. When the fists are flying in the heat of battle, to suggest Paice would deliberately look to injure someone knowing their medical hisory is almost beneath contempt.

Shame on you Quins fans. Your comments shame yourselves and your club.
