READING Rockets (6-3) will be looking to make it six wins on the spin on Sunday (5pm tip-off). when they return to their regular home venue at Rivermead to host National Cup finalists Team Solent Kestrels (5-4).
They continued their excellent run last weekend with an 88-67 win over Loughborough Student Riders with captain Danny Carter contributing 23 points.
This victory lifted Rockets into the top four of NBL Division One for the first time this season.
Delighted head coach Manuel Peña Garcés said: “Slowly, but surely we are putting in better performances and improving in each of our games. It is important that we keep this momentum going and remain focused.”
His assistant, Alan Keane, added: “Solent are dangerous opponents right now and they will be on a high after their cup semi-final win.
"They have a talented roster and have brought in some new faces since we played them in the National Trophy.
“A combination of youth and experience is key in this league and that is what has helped them so far.
"It is important for us to prepare well for the game in terms of keeping focused on our goals as well as being prepared for the threats we will come up against.”
The meeting between the two teams will be the second of the season with the Rockets claiming a 79-65 victory last October in the National Trophy.
Reading, who expect to be at full strength for their last game of 2016, will be hoping Carter can repeat his man-of-the-match performance in the win over Loughborough. The skipper netted three trebles, three assists and a steal.
He was well supported by Juan Valerio with 19 points, while Craig Ponder contributed 18 in addition to six steals, three assists and six rebounds and Chris Hooper 17 points and 16 rebounds.
