BULMERSHE youngster Amelia Bowles was celebrating after claiming victory in the British Gymnastics national finals in Fenton Manor.
Representing the South Region, the 10-year-old produced an assured performance to lift the trophy for the South Region in the Compulsory 3 category.
Bowles also performed confidently in the individual competition, securing an individual gold in the vault with a score of 13.725 and all-round individual seventh position.
Meanwhile, 13-year-old team-mate Emma Kendall also secured a podium spot after performing consistently across the apparatus, gaining the bronze medal in the National Grade 2 competition, and an all-round 12th in the country, including an impressive 13.25 for the range and conditioning element.
Caversham’s 12-year-old Alice Brunn rounded off the event for Bulmershe in the National Grade 3 competition, performing well to bring South Region to seventh, with an individual fifth on the vault with a score of 13.00, and 38th all around.
Senior coach Katherine Gale was delighted, saying: “I’m so proud of these girls for being selected to represent the region at this high level event.
"They work incredibly hard and really deserve the success they achieve.”
