FORMER Reading FC goalkeeper Adam Federici has signed for Championship rivals Stoke City.
Federici, known best as Fedders, signed a two-year deal at Bet365 stadium after Lee Grant moved to Premier League giants Manchester United.
The Australian international was a key part of Brian McDermott's promotion-winning Royals outfit in the 2011/12 season.
He played understudy to Reading legend Marcus Hahnemann but stepped up to the first-team when the American left for Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2009.
Federici, 33, eventually left Royals for top-flight side Bournemouth but was restricted to just eight Premier League appearances for the Cherries.
Having fallen out of favour at Vitality Stadium, Federici has now agreed to switch to the Potters.
"He's a player with bags of experience, with Reading notably and Bournemouth as well," said newly appointed Stoke boss Gary Rowett.
"He's an excellent professional, great trainer and a very good goalkeeper who we see as one of three senior keepers who need to be pushing each other."
Federici made 253 appearances for Reading in total, scoring an iconic last-gasp equaliser against Cardiff City in the process.
