WHITEKNIGHTS men won their Bannerette match against Berkshire for the first time in 10 years with a hard-fought 124-117 victory on Sunday.
All six rinks were closely-contested early on, but the home side held their nerve to seal victory.
Top rink for Whiteknights – plus 16 shots – was skipped by Jim Bland with Alan Cowell, Dave Salmon and John Gardiner.
Whiteknights advanced in the London and Southern Counties Shield with an 83-64 win against St. Neots & District, while Cathy Edwards was beaten in the quarter finals of the national Under 25s singles competition.
