WHITEKNIGHTS Ladies B shocked their A team clubmates with a 44-30 victory in the second round of the Mason’s Competition.
The B team will play Handy Cross on January 19 in the next round.
Whiteknights men narrowly lost a seven-rink friendly 115-113 against Mid Gloucestershire Top rink for the Knights – with an impressive 24-shots success – was skipped by Mike Fraser with Brian Amos, Mick Parnell and Alberto Perona.
In the mixed match against Farnborough C.S, Whiteknights won four of the six rinks in a 118-91 triumph.
The rink skipped by Brian Taylor with Tony Gooden, Glynn Faieres and Anne Wilby was most successful, finishing plus 14 shots.
- RIVERMEAD pulled off a shock 76-73 victory against Desborough in the fourth round of the Yetton Trophy.
The rink skipped by Beryl Bradbrooks (19-14) was most successful for Rivermead, while Pat Fowkes’ team won 21-18.
Desborough won the other two rinks 22-21 and 19-15, but Rivermead advanced.
