READING Racers travel to Sittingbourne this Monday to face top-of-the-table Kent Kestrels knowing a win will put them ahead of their main rivals for the Southern Development League title.

After their match against Plymouth Demons was rained off in Devon last Friday, the Racers still have two matches to race after their Kent visit, while the Kestrels race their last two on Monday – they face Plymouth directly before their clash with Reading.

Racers captain Luke Harris is unavailable, but they bring in a top line replacement for the SDL No.1 in 16-year-old Taylor Hampshire, who top scored at the Kent track for his National League team Birmingham earlier this week.

Nick Laurence returns after missing the last two matches, and William O’Keefe makes his sixth appearance for the Racers in seven matches this season, in what looks to be formidable outfit.

Kent will be including their 15-year-old star Anders Rowe as they bid to fend off the Racers’ challenge, knowing two wins on the night will mean they can only lose the league on points difference.

Monday’s Line Ups: Kent Kestrels: 1. Bradley Andrews (depending on fitness test), 2. Andrew Palmer, 3. James Laker, 4. Anders Rowe.

Reading Racers: 1. Taylor Hampshire, 2. Stephen Whitehouse, 3. Nick Laurence (Captain), 4. William O’Keefe.
