KIDMORE End (168-8) beat Hayes (167) to increase the pressure on Division 2a leaders North Maidenhead, writes Phil Brennan.

Umer Faroqi (pictured) was the pick of Kidmore’s bowlers, his 3-14 runs including Hayes’ top scorers Prabhjot Singh (44) and Harmanpreet Sing Johal (39).

Kidmore’s Tom Sheldon (42) and Zac Leonard (42) ensured Hayes’ total was not enough, despite impressive bowling from Prabhjot Singh (5-33).

Kidmore End visit Maidenhead & Bray on Saturday (12.30pm), as the games return to 50-50 overs.

In Division 2b, rock bottom Sonning (52) were brushed aside by Slough 2nds (175). Ghulam Abbas (4-46) stood out for Sonning with the ball, but fine bowling displays from Naveed Akhtar (6-20) and Syed Shah (4-29) proved too much for the visitors. Sonning host Aldershot on Saturday (12.30pm).

Usman Ijaz (35) top scored for Hurst (125-7) as they drew with Royal Ascot.

Hurst host Beaconsfield on Saturday (12.30pm).

Division 3a table-toppers Wargrave (139-2) eased past Purley-on-Thames (137-8) by eight wickets as Will Allum (52no) and Michael Cowdell (53no) steered a comfortable chase.

Earlier, John Rimmer (6-52) did the damage for the leaders, who visit Cove 2nds on Saturday.

Theale and Tilehurst's (168 all out) Division 4b promotion hopes suffered a blow after they lost by five wickets to lowly Thatcham Town 2nds (170-5).

Nick Bishop (5-38) did the damage for Town before Jamie Young (69) starred in the chase.

Theale & Tilehurst visit North Maidenhead 2nds on Saturday (12.30pm).

In Division 5b, Wargrave 2nds (123-5) beat Chiswick and Whitton 2nds (119 all out) by five wickets.

Waqas Tahir (48no) and Dan Le Marquand (68no) guided Division 6b table-toppers Sonning 2nds (156-2) to a comfortable eight-wicket win against Yateley 3rds (150). Mohammed Atif earlier claimed 4-43.

Jake White snaffled 5-52, but it was not enough for Hurst 2nds (149 all out) who agonisingly lost by one wicket to Cove 3rds (153-9).

Kelvin Baillie (51) top scored for Hurst in the first innings as Richard Swannell took an impressive (8-37) for Cove.

Chris Priestley (83no), Raj Seniappan (62) and Kieran Barrett (51) all impressed with the bat for Purley-on-Thames 2nds, but they fell victim to a stunning run chase as Farnham Common 2nds (265-8) won by two wickets with two balls to spare.

Division 7a champions elect Theale & Tilehurst 2nds (213) eased past North Maidenhead 3rds (159) by 54 runs.

Mohammed Jamil (94 and 3-13) starred with bat and ball for T&T, with Jared Mizen taking 4-71.

Cameron Livington-Smith (46) led Kidmore End 2nds (117-6) to a losing draw against Maidenhaead & Bray 3rds (180-4).

In Division 8a, Theale and Tilehurst 3rds (169-7) rose to the top of the table as Stuart Brown (5-38) and Chris Long (3-0 and 40) proved too much for Datchet 4ths (106 all out) in a 63-run triumph.

Gary Phillips top scored with 56 to help Sonning 3rds (158-4) draw with with Bagshot 3rds (213-5 declared after 46 overs).

Cove 5ths forfeited their Division 9a game at Wargrave 3rds, while Kidmore End 3rds (37) lost by nine wickets at Wokingham 5ths (41-1).
