READING FC World Cup winner Luke Southwood has signed a new contract.
The 19-year-old goalkeeper was part of the England squad that won the Under 20 World Cup in South Korea earlier this summer.
He was recently linked with a move to Crystal Palace, but has now committed his future to the Royals after penning a new deal.

Vito Mannone will be Jaap Stam’s first-choice stopper this season following his £2m switch from Sunderland as a replacement for Ali Al-Habsi, who has moved to Saudi giants Al-Hilal.
Finland international Anssi Jaakkola will provide back-up to Mannone with George Legg third in line.
Ex-England U21 stopper Jonathan Bond also remains on Reading’s books and has been loaned to League One Peterborough United until January.
More to follow.
