BERKS County FC climbed to sixth place in the Premier Division following a 2-1 victory at Unity, writes Richard Ashton.

Connor Banks and Mike Shields were on target for County.

Carl Self bagged a brace and Luke Gray also netted as title-chasing Newbury extended their winning league run to 11 matches with a 3-0 success at Mortimer.

Fellow high-fliers Reading YMCA overcame Woodcote Stoke Row 4-1. Ryan Adams scored twice for YM with Dan Donegan and Ricky Latham adding the others. James Worsfold replied for the visitors.

Lemar Maycock scored twice and substitutes Ollie Noyes and Mitchell Parker also netted as Highmoor Ibis Reserves beat Hurst 5-2. Tom Hill and Greg Sinclair were on the scoresheet for the basement boys, while Cookham Dean won 4-0 against Rotherfield United who saw Russell King sent off 10 minutes after the break.

Andrew Nichol, Wes Sutherland and Curtis Tannis helped Marlow United reach the semi finals of the Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup with an impressive 3-2 win at Didcot Town Reserves.

Division One table-toppers Maidenhead Magpies eased to a 3-0 victory at home to Mortimer Reserves, while nearest rivals Eldon Celtic triumphed 3-1 at Frilsham & Yattendon thanks to goals from Badru Kisubi, Mushe Richardson and Matt Williamson.

Muqaddas Rajput and Sabeel Asghar got the goals for FC Imaan Lions as they drew 2-2 at home to Cookham Dean Reserves and Maidenhead Town crushed AFC Corinthians 5-0. Mitchell Burley grabbed a double for the visitors, with Sam Angel, Ashley Waite and an own goal completing the rout.

Lukasz Hryniewicz scored a superb hat-trick and Bartosz Pachulski and Mariusz Zienkiewicz also netted as White Eagles kept their Division Two promotion hopes alive with a 5-2 success at home to Goring United.

A Dominic McKenzie double and goals from Adam Taylor and Billy Margetts gave Burghfield FC a 4-1 home win against Wargrave, and Scott Gesner’s strike was not enough for inconsistent Woodcote Stoke Row Reserves as they were thumped 6-1 by lowly Highmoor U21.

Division Three leaders Berks County Reserves extended their perfect run to 12 matches with a hard-fought 3-2 victory at Maidenhead Town Reserves. Alex Hills, Samuel Vine and Joshua Stefanini were on target for the visitors, with Steve Newell and Johnnie Palmer-Smith netting for Town.

Harchester Hawks smashed Woodley United A 7-2, and Brimpton obliterated Unity Reserves 6-1.

In Division Four, leaders South Reading hammered Taplow United A 8-3, Oliver Borst, Jack Shea and Seamus Stapleton scoring for the beaten side.

Ryan Hawley and Charlie Scope both scored twice for Hurst A as they defeated Goring United Reserves 7-2. Steve Smith, Arron Burch and Peter Jones got the other goals for Hurst, with Quentin Ham and Daniel Reynolds on target for the hosts.

Woodley United B smashed Harchester Hawks Reserves 7-1.
