READING boxing sensation Tamuka Mucha extended his perfect record to 15-0 with a TKO of Polish brawler Adam Grabiec on Saturday night.

The 23-year-old welterweight dominated the fight at the Dolman Exhibition Hall in Bristol, before the bout was ultimately called off after 1m 58secs of the sixth and final round.

The victory was Mucha’s fourth of the year following previous successes against Ryan Toms, Innocent Anyanwu and Slough’s Tommy Tear.

Mucha is due to fight Paddy Gallagher – who possesses a solid 10-2 record himself – in a British title eliminator at Wembley Arena on Friday, November 18.

The bout will take place on the undercard of the George Groves-Eduard Gutknecht card.

  • FELLOW Reading fighter Asinia Byfield has been crowned Southern Area super welterweight champion after beating Erick Ochieng on points after their 10-round battle at York Hall, Bethnal Green, on Saturday.

The victory comes after Byfield failed to take the title when he lost on points to Arthur Hermann in April.

Before that fight he said he wanted to win the belt for his son Trayvon, who died from cot death earlier this year.
