LOXWOOD were left to rue a controversial refereeing decision as they had to settle for a 1-1 draw at home to WS Hobnob in Division Two, writes Richard Ashton.

The visitors’ goalkeeper was fortunate to stay on the pitch following a hand-ball outside his area – escaping with a caution – but this wasn’t too much of a concern for Lox after Jason Ivil gave them a 33rd-minute lead.

However, as Loxwood then failed to kill off the game after missing a string of easy chances, they conceded a late equaliser and were left cursing the ref.

The only plus points for Lox were a well-taken goal by Ivil on his return to the team following a lengthy suspension and a man-of-the-match display at the back by Andy Marshall who played his first full game of the season having picked up an injury on the opening day.

Athletico Forest joined Loxwood on 19 points following their 2-1 victory at hope to Imaan, and AFC Burghfield Reserves hammered rock bottom Wokingham & Emmbrook 4-1.
