Special school just £5,000 off fundraising target

A LEADING special school is just £5,000 away from the £127,000 it needs to build a state-of-the-art playground specifically designed to meet the complex needs of its pupils.
A MAN was killed when his motor scooter collided with a train at a level crossing this afternoon. British Transport Police were called to Ufton Nervet in West Berkshire at 1.10pm.

Ex-Reading MP tells Leveson he was a News of the World target
FORMER Reading West MP Martin Salter has given a statement to the Leveson Inquiry into press standards alleging he was targeted by the News of the World (NoW) in a way that "goes beyond what is acceptable".
