"In some narrow world of chivalry it may be the 'right thing'. However, in the real world the Chairman, Manager and Team who have achieved success that exceeded all reasonable expectations of long standing RFC fans should be supported and encouraged to stay. Last Sunday was a sad day to be at Derby ... but the last time I was there was our first game in the Championship after promotion and then the last three years of success were an unlikely dream. The demonstration at the Mad Stad on Tuesday reflects the true spirit of the club. Steve Coppell deserves at least another year ... and I hope he decides that we deserve his continued services."
