Your article on Heritage Open Days was very interesting (The Chronicle, September 10) but I would like to point out a common mistake.

Reading's three Bs were Biscuits, Beer and BRICKS - not bulbs. Suttons were famous for seeds - the third "B" refers to our brickmaking industry. Colliers for one was famous and the town is built by their bricks.
