ANYONE fearing the finanical cuts of this Conservative/Liberal Government can make changes to their shopping practises and save money to prepare themselves.

My family and I have been shopping for fruit and veg at the open market, opposite St Mary Butts, for several years.

We can vouch for the high quality of the produce and savings of £1,500 each year over typical supermarket prices. Wednesdays to Saturdays, most weeks of the year, the market staff will welcome you.

Unfortunately this open market does not sell everything and for the rest of our shopping we use the True Food Co-op (www.truefood.coop). There is a shop in Grove Road, Emmer Green, and there are evening markets held all over Reading.
