Letter: Debate rages over school catchments

* WE are in the area marked as ‘variation 1’ in the proposed new area, this means we could still be left out of the new ME catchment area which concerns me.
My issues are not with the quality of the schools but the accessibility and the safety of my children walking to school. My eldest daughter is due to start secondary school in 2013.

Report commentI too would like my son go to his local school, only 10 minutes walk from our front door, when he starts secondary school in 2012, but WBC is determined to prevent him from so doing.
