May I remind readers that the Reading Prostate Cancer Support Group, set up and supported by Royal Berkshire Hospital, meets, normally on the first Friday of each month, in St Andrew's Church Hall, Craven Road, Reading (next to the hospital).

Meetings commence at 6.15pm for just over two hours, open to all men diagnosed with prostate cancer, and their partners.

The next meeting is on Friday, March 5, when the guest speaker will be Peter Malone, Royal Berks' leading prostate surgeon.

We are very privileged that this is the third time that Mr Malone has been our guest speaker and have no doubt his presentation will maintain the excellent standards already established.

Lastly, may I also remind your readers that March has been designated by the Prostate Cancer Charity as 'Prostate Cancer Awareness Month', so please look out for information on prostate cancer in the press and elsewhere. For more information about the group and its activities, please call either the uroncology nursing team at the hospital on 0118 322 7905 or Roger Bennett on 01491 576044.

Roger E Bennett, Deanfield Road, Henley-on-Thames
