YOU'VE done it again. You've shrugged off the recession and an assortment of different crises to give your customary 100% backing to our Toys & Teens Appeal.

We know how tough life is just now for people in many walks of life, in homes where incomes have been dramatically reduced or the value of pensions has shrunk.

And yet, thanks to your efforts and astounding generosity, our friends at Reading Family Aid were able to pack up more than 20,000 toys, games, gadgets, toiletries and gift vouchers to ensure there will be plenty of smiling faces on Christmas morning in homes where sometimes laughter can be at a premium.

None of it could be achieved without the contribution of Rabbits Vehicle Hire, Austin Logistics and Access Self-Storage which provide their services - picking up, storing and delivering your contributions - free of charge and without a moment's hesitation every year.

Our thanks to them and to all the willing volunteers who helped make Toys & Teens 2011 yet another success.
