A DEVASTED mother-of-three is appealing for residents to aid her search for her beloved family puppy.
Seven-month-old Rocky, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, went missing around 6pm yesterday, in the Fleetham Gardens area in Lower Earley.
Chloe Howes, Rocky's owner, said she believes one of of her children accidentally let Rocky out of his crate, and he ran out of the front of the house.
Chloe described Rocky as a peoples dog, and said she it pains her to see her children so "heartbroken".
" It's just awful, at around 6pm yesterday he was in his crate and I think the baby let him out and I didn't realise," the 27-year-old said.
"Rocky spends a lot of time outside so it's really strange for him to run off like this.
"He is such a loveable dog, he is so friendly and my children are devastated.
"I'm obviously upset that he is missing but it hurts me to see the children so heart broken."
Rocky is described as black furred with a white stripe, muscular and wearing a dark green collar.
